We have built waste transfer stations in Romania. And this was a good thing, but some were built without taking into account the reality. They are copy paste stations of the memories of designers with no experience in this field …
The Romania of recent years makes efforts and progress in building the infrastructure for urban waste management. In this regard, waste transfer stations have also been built. These, as the name says, serve for the transfer to the county non-hazardous waste landfill of the waste from the territory.
There are 2 problems: they increase the final cost of collection and they are often designed as undersized units.
We will only refer to the technological solution to supplement the capacity of a waste transfer station.
Waste collection operators have at their disposal mobile stations for compacting waste in containers. A mobile waste transfer station can supplement the capacity of the initially operated station. It can also be located in the territory where it is needed.
